- Battery was completely discharged. We charged the battery and then tested battery, starting and charging system. The battery is brand new and tested good, the starter tested good as well but the alternator tested low. The out put voltage of the alternator is 11.49v. The output voltage should never be less than 12..00v. Alternator needs to be replaced.
- Replaced bad alternator and re charged battery while work was being performed. Customer supplied own part from NAPA that was still under warranty. After replacing alternator I re tested the alternator out put voltage and now it is at 14.60v. The new alternator is working really good.
