    • We found that engine is making a rattling/knocking sound, maybe the engine oil is too thin and the engine has wear. Spoke to the customer and spoke with her about trying an engine oil additive to hopefully help with the engine noise. Recommend the oil additive be used at every oil change. Test drove vehicle and the engine noise is definitely quieter than when vehicle arrived. Also found that lower transmission pan gasket is leaking and needs to be replaced.

    • Scanned vehicle for trouble codes and found, P0335 Crankshaft position sensor A. Cleared all trouble codes and test drove vehicle and I was able to duplicate customers concern of vehicle shutting off when coming to a stop.
    • Replaced crank shaft position sensor and cleared all trouble codes then test drove vehicle and the engine NO longer shut off. NO more trouble codes are present.

    • Scanned vehicle for trouble codes and found, P0300 Random cylinder misfire detected. P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire detected. P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire detected. Switch coils around and misfire changed cylinders so vehicle needs spark plugs and at least 2 coils. Oil change is over due by about 10k miles, according to reminder sticker.
    • Replaced all spark plugs and 2 ignition coils. Re assembled engine and test drove vehicle and NO more misfire and NO more check engine light on.
    • REMOVE AND REPLACE MOTOR OIL AND OIL FILTER, LUBE CHASSIS WHERE APPLICABLE, CHECK TIRE PRESSURE AND ALL FLUID LEVELS.
